New song for Scotland

New lyrics have been written to go with the popular pipe tune Highland Cathedral.

This stirring song has been recorded by the Scottish rugby squad, with skipper Kelly Brown on lead vocals.

The words, which celebrate “Scotland my country and my land of birth” as well as “Highland Cathedral in my heart, my home”, were written by Scottish rugby fans Simon Paterson-Brown and Chris Thomson.

The song also features pupils from 15 schools across Aberdeenshire.

Those behind the project hope the song will make it into the charts, raising funds in the process for three charities – The Bill McLaren Foundation, Hearts and Balls and The Murrayfield Centenary Fund.

The song is available to download from all major digital outlets and the recording (with a some memorable moments from the Scottish rugby team) can be viewed on YouTube (click on the link below).
