Inverness is the happiest place to live in Scotland, according to a survey which asked people how contented they are with their home and community.

Inverness peopleThe Highlands city came second in the UK, with Falkirk coming fifth in the list of the happiest places to live in Britain.

Although not in the UK top ten, Kirkcaldy was the third happiest place in Scotland.

The ten unhappiest places in the UK are all in London.

A survey was carried out by property website Rightmove, which asked 50,000 people how proud they were of their home, its decoration, how safe they felt in their community, if they had enough living space, how friendly the neighbours were and if they worried about the value of their property.
